If you have had the time to read this blog lately then you must of known that this type of post was coming.All of the kids have been interested in training Ken's new dogs. Ken has happily received her siblings help in becoming a new dog owner. So lately their project time has been spent Dog Training.
I came across this book before making the decision to purchase a dog for Ken from Barnes & Nobles. It has all of the basic information to teach your dog over 50 commands, and comes with an instructional video that the kids have repeatedly viewed.
They enjoy reading through the book too and can't wait to see the results.
Each trick comes with a flashcard for review and also shows the hand sign that is taught to the dog as well.
Here are the basic materials that they are using to train the dogs.
They have been doing a great job in walking the dogs and are really excited that Lexi and Luca are responding to their treats and they have reported to me that both of the dogs are almost sitting on command.
Out of all the projects the kids have done I think I see the best work coming out of this one.
