What We Have Going On For The Week: Montessori Monday

This week I am introducing Godly Play to my children. Very excited because I am following them in their journey to find out more about God. They have been asking plenty of questions during our Christmas celebrations.  Finally got my hands on this good book that I have been studying to be able to guide them in this wonderful journey. It is my hope that we may be able to find a church one day where we all can worship together during the sermon. I think this is going to be a great begining to prepare them to hear Gods' word.

This is the cover of the book, that I hold very dare as my favorite resource.

The first story that I will be sharing with them  is The Days Of Creation. Michelle volunteered to paint the cards for me.
Here are how the cards turned out.
I placed all the work in one basket.
I hope that we could learn the Lord's Prayer this week. I got this the book from the library that has some answers to their questions in a very kid friendly way.
All the stores around here have Valentine cards out already. So I put this work together so they have plenty of time to be creative to make their own cards. They were happy when they saw this printing. The activity can be found at Teacher Tam shop at Teachers Notebook.
Sequencing How To Make Hot Chocolate. I had DJ in mind for this work,Ken may do it to. I got this work from The Hot Choclate packet from the inspired apple.
Matching the problem to the answer, and than recording the work on the sheet. This work came from Teachers pay Teachers authored by Shelley Gray.

Getting started with formally introducing Artist this week. Henri Matisse is who will be learning about for the next month. The cards came from Montessori Print Shop. I purchased some lessons from Deep Sparkle Space, and we will be using Confessions Of A Homeschoolers' Greatest Artist curriculum.

Our read alouds for the week.

  4. I love to see that book! While we mostly do Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, I was introduced to Godly Play, Young Children and Worship, and Following Jesus when I was asked to make some materials via my Garden of Francis Etsy shop - I'm going for the training in April :)

It has been great to introduce these stories to my son at home, in tandem with the CGS.

I found this post via Living Montessori Now on Facebook - and I just mainly wanted to say I *love* that more people are using this work :)
