High School Weekly Wrap Up: Fall Week 11

A lot of awesome things happened this week involving Michelle and her high school career.  The way it will look is quite different by very much tailored to her learning style and offers her a college bound curriculum that she wants so much. One of her goals is to attend college and we have hopefully have found a path for her through lots of prayer.

This week she did Algebra I and Latin lessons as usual just no pictures to share of this work. It took me a little longer to get my Weekly Wrap Ups posted because I have been playing with a Collage Maker and having lots of fun!

This week we began an Artist Study of Pablo Picasso which is one her most favorite artist. This study has really inspired Michelle to dedicate more time to developing her skills in becoming an Artist. I enjoyed learning more about Pablo Picasso it is interesting to learn how much his mood affected his art and choices of color he used.

Geography and History is always interesting. This week it is still all about Africa and her reading "Things  Fall Apart"  is getting really good. Michelle is good about pronouncing all of the names in the book, me not so much. Michelle picked up the book 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America by Bernard Goldberg from the library. It is definitely an interesting read, and I kinda find it humorous who has made it on his list.

Michelle has also been designing up a storm. She is still in the draft stage in all of her drawings. Right now she is sketching some costumes to possibly sew.

This week she also enrolled in a dual enrollment high school where she will attend four days a week for just four hours a day. Just enough time to be with others her own age, and take honor courses. The academy has just piloted this first group of students so we will see how it goes. They will assist will earning high school credits and preparing transcripts when the time comes. Michelle will start the week after Thanksgiving.
