High School Weekly Wrap-Up:Fall Week 9

In the High School department Michelle accomplished two days of school this week. On Tuesdays she volunteers at the church, on Wednesday we went to the Pumpkin Patch and celebrated Halloween, on Thursday there wasn't any school. Michelle still put in work on the days that "school" was in session.

In history Michelle started a new book that is set in South Africa and learned about Imperialism.
She also continued her research on Fidel Castro and found out that he attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory School which was an all boys boarding school where he excelled in sports. Castro was bullied because he was born out of wedlock, his parents did eventually marry.
For biology she completed the first chapter in her guide, took her first self test and only missed one question. What I liked about this work is that Michelle still sought out to find the correct answer. Moving on to Cells next week.
Lots of out of "school' time was spent on reading a review item, that has her rereading and going to the bible for some answers.

Still studying Piet Mondrian's art work. We'll wrap up this art unit next week.

Watching the debates over and over again is one of Michelle's favorite things to do. She put this very short video together to share one of her favorite parts.

Sporting her costume while working on a project after the trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

One thing I totally love about Michelle is how helpful she is. Michelle helped the children and me a great deal at the Pumpkin Patch and also made a necklace for someone who was having difficulty making one of their own.

Michelle on Halloween as Bat Girl with her cousin as Robin.
